Infidus ble unnfanget i en kald og muggen kjeller på Oslos østkant i 2012. Bandet bestod da av fire karer – to på gitar/vokal (Øyvind Hetland / Kenneth Andresen), en trommis (Trond Lund) og en bassist (Øyvind Østensen). I 2018 fikk de tidligere vokalist i Aggressive Chill med på laget, Strömstads store rockesønn, Mikael Willy Wilhelmsson, noe som gjorde Infidus komplett.
Alle har spilt musikk det meste av livet, utforsket forskjellige sjangre med forskjellige band, før de endelig har funnet tonen sammen. Deres inspirasjon stammer fra band som Tool, Soundgarden, Metallica, Mastodon, Killswitch Engage, Periphery og mange flere. Resultatet er en fet blanding av hardrock og metall.
Bandet er for tiden i full gang med innspilling av sin debutskive, med planlagt utgivelse i midten av 2020. Første singel “Locomotive” ble sluppet i mai 2019, og er produsert og mixet av svenske Tobias Lindell (Avatar, Europe, Mustasch, H.e.a.t, Aggressive Chill , Sixty Six Grand etc).
Fredag 3. april 2020 ble deres andre singel “Beyond the Plimsoll Mark” utgitt. Den er produsert og mixet av svenske Emil Nödveidt (Deathstars, Dissection, Liv Sin) og er mastret av Tomas Plec Johansson (Soilwork, Watain, Nocturnal Rites).

Infidus was conceived in a cold and musty basement in Oslo in 2012. The band then consisted of four guys – two on guitar/vocals (Øyvind Hetland / Kenneth Andresen), a drummer (Trond Lund) and a bass player (Øyvind Østensen). In 2018, the former vocalist of Aggressive Chill joined the team – Mikael Willy Wilhelmsson from Strömstad in Sweden made the band complete.
Everyone has been playing music most of their lives, exploring different genres with different bands, before finally finding the tone together. Their inspiration comes from bands like Tool, Soundgarden, Metallica, Mastodon, Killswitch Engage, Periphery and many more. The result is a bold blend of hard rock and metal.
The band is currently recording their debut album, scheduled for release in mid-2020. The first single “Locomotive” was released in May 2019, and is produced and mixed by Swedish Tobias Lindell (Avatar, Europe, Mustasch, H.e.a.t, Aggressive Chill, Sixty Six Grand etc).
